Senior Director, Credit Policy, Freddie Mac

Rebecca Nelson is the senior director of Credit Policy Development in Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Risk Management division. She is responsible for all matters regarding credit policy development, including client engagement and managing Freddie Mac’s credit risk, with an emphasis on creating transparency efficiency in all these areas.

During her tenure at Freddie Mac, Ms. Nelson has been a director in Quality Control, held management roles with quality assurance and vendor management. She has leveraged her experience in mortgage banking – including extensive training, underwriting, and risk management background – across both the primary and secondary markets to serve the needs of our clients.

With over 25 years in the mortgage banking industry, Ms. Nelson’s experience includes work for national and regional mortgage companies. She holds a certification in leadership and strategic execution from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
